My interest in recipe development started in my very own kitchen: despite a devout love of cookbooks and heavy bookshelves to prove it, I very rarely cook from a recipe and, when I do, I almost never follow the directions. It came naturally as I learned to adapt recipes to my liking at home, and eventually led me to blog about healthier versions of classic recipes on my first (and now defunct) blog, The Fit Flexitarian.
However, my love of cooking and trying new recipes led me to start writing the Slow Cooker Chronicles column for Family Circle’s Momster blog, which I still maintain every week. Since then, my newfound love for recipe development has only flourished. With my deep passion for food and, in particular, healthy food with a Latin twist, I am also currently developing recipes for Mamás Latinas as well as my personal blog Healthy Latin Food.
